How to Make a Paper Plate Lamb

Part 1
Preparing the Paper Plate Body

    Cut a paper plate in half.

    Glue cotton balls onto it. This forms the wool on the lamb's body.

Part 2
Making the Lamb's Head

    Cut a circle on a piece of plain paper.

    Glue cotton balls on the top part of this only.

    Glue googly eyes if you have them. Or, simply draw on some eyes with a pencil or marker.

    Draw a smile.

    Glue the head of the sheep to the body.

Part 3
Adding Legs to the Lamb

    Using some pink paper, draw basic sheep leg shapes. Then cut out the legs.

    Glue a few small cotton balls at the end of each leg.

    Glue the legs on the body. This is best done by gluing the legs to the back of the plate, as shown in this image.

    Decorate the lamb if wished. Perhaps add a heart, some ears, a collar, or a bird on the lamb's back. Or, simply leave the lamb as it is. Done!

Tips

  • Make a group of these for a classroom project. Use green construction paper as fields, stick against the wall and have the students add the lambs to the field wherever they'd like. They can draw basic hills, lakes, flowers, etc. straight onto the construction paper.
