How to Make a Paper Clothing Store

Here is how to make a mini paper store for selling paper clothes that you've designed all yourself. It's a fun way to get immersed in what it might really be like some day to run your own fashion store or clothing line.

Steps

    Take the lid off the shoebox. Cut off one of the walls. This should result in a three-sided shoebox.

    Decorate the outside of the store. You can add windows, a sign, whatever you like.

    Look online for a paper doll template. Either print it or copy it on the cardstock. You can also just draw it onto the cardstock.

    Fill with clothing. On the piece of paper, start drawing shirts, dresses, pants, any types of clothing you want in the store.
    • Add little tabs around the waist (for a skirt or pants) and add flaps on the sleeves of a shirt.
    • Make sure that the clothing will easily fit around the doll you've chosen.

    Display the clothes on the wall. Add a price tag to each piece of clothing.

    Draw or make a pretend credit card. Get a piece of paper to subtract and add the money from. Choose how much you will have on your credit card.

    Start shopping! To attach clothing, tape the flaps to the back of the doll.

    Add more items to the store over time. To earn money, make new dresses, skirts, and shirts. Decide how much you will make per piece of clothing.
