How to Make a One Bowl White Cake

You will not have to run to the grocery store to pick up a box of cake mix as you can easily make this one bowl cake at home. Another plus is you can add and stir up all the ingredients using one bowl and a spoon. To mix the batter by hand, remember to beat the cake batter for 150 to 200 strokes. If you use an electric mixer you can follow the directions given below. Makes two 8 or 9-inch cake layers

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup milk
