How to Make a Milk Carton Birdfeeder
Do you think birds deserve something of their own that came from you? Well you can make a simple bird feeder out of cheap items.
Steps
- 1Acquire a simple, gallon-size milk carton. Empty it completely, and wipe to dry. Milk can mold with the bird feed.
- 2Get some scissors and cut a quarter-sized hole in the milk carton. You may want to make a bigger opening, depending on ease and the possibilities of other animals enjoying the birds' food.
- 3Add a stick by taping or gluing it to the bottom of the hole.
- 4Fill it up with bird seed, or bird-appropriate food.
Tips
- Make the hole small enough for a bird, and not a squirrel
- Don't over-fill the carton so food spills out for rodents etc.
- Get help from an adult with the cutting if you are young
Warnings
- Don't scare the birds away while they're eating, or they will be afraid to come back.
- Don't cut yourself with scissors!
Things You'll Need
- Empty washed out milk carton
- Scissors
- Tape or Glue
