How to Make a Linen Protection Sachet

Keeping the moths and other insects at bay without using chemical products means a little more effort and vigilance. Doing so is assisted by making this easy and effective little sachet, suitable for hanging in your linen closet, or make several and place between sheets, towels and other stored items for added protection.

Ingredients

1 part each:

  • Tansy
  • Wormwood
  • Southernwood
  • Lavender
  • Silver King artemisia
  • Rosemary

Steps

    Sew a small sachet. If you are making more than one sachet, make several.

    Stuff each sachet with the herbal mixture. Sew or tie the sachet together. If you are storing the sachets between linens, they are better sewn as they will sit flat between the linens and there is less risk of the sachet opening and spilling its contents everywhere.

    Crush a little to release the oils in the herbs. You will get a wonderful scent emitting as you crush it.

    Use. The sachets will work for at least 6 months. Replace when the scent fades.
