How to Make a Hermosa Mimosa
Hermosa means beautiful or lovely in Spanish and this is a beautiful drink that is a variation of the traditional Mimosa. This simple, but luscious drink has only two ingredients, making it a breeze to prepare.
Ingredients
Servings: 1
- 5 oz. (150 ml) champagne (chilled)
- 1 oz. guava juice
- 3 maraschino cherries for garnish
Steps
- 1Pour the Champagne to within one inch of the top of your tall Champagne flute. Be sure to pour a few ounces of Champagne at a time to allow the bubbles to subside, otherwise you’ll end up with more Champagne on the counter than in the glass.
- 2Add the guava juice until it reaches the rim of your glass.
- 3Skewer 3 maraschino cherries on a cocktail sword.
- 4Balance the cocktail sword over the top of the glass.
Tips
- You can use other fruit garnishes in place of the maraschino cherries, but the bright, red cherries complement the light pink color of this drink.
- Chilling your Champagne flute beforehand greatly enhances this cocktail.
Warnings
- Be aware that some people are allergic to guava.
