How to Make a Hermosa Mimosa

Hermosa means beautiful or lovely in Spanish and this is a beautiful drink that is a variation of the traditional Mimosa. This simple, but luscious drink has only two ingredients, making it a breeze to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 5 oz. (150 ml) champagne (chilled)
  • 1 oz. guava juice
  • 3 maraschino cherries for garnish

    Pour the Champagne to within one inch of the top of your tall Champagne flute. Be sure to pour a few ounces of Champagne at a time to allow the bubbles to subside, otherwise you’ll end up with more Champagne on the counter than in the glass.

    Add the guava juice until it reaches the rim of your glass.

    Skewer 3 maraschino cherries on a cocktail sword.

    Balance the cocktail sword over the top of the glass.

Tips

  • You can use other fruit garnishes in place of the maraschino cherries, but the bright, red cherries complement the light pink color of this drink.
  • Chilling your Champagne flute beforehand greatly enhances this cocktail.
