How to Make a Green Bow and Arrow

You want to make a bow and arrow the easy way? Make it out of Green Wood! It's easy, great for a survival situation, and fun to use!

Steps

    First you find a young yew, or pine tree.

    Find a good, straight branch 1 inch (2.5 cm) or more in diameter.

    Make sure it is just a little bit shorter than you.

    Chop it off with a hatchet, or saw.

    Leave the bark on so it will not dry up for then it will crack, and be useless.

    Make two nocks on both, the top then bottom. One on each side on each end for the string to go into.

    Grasp bow and bend to desired length, after slipping loop on one side.

    Tie a timber hitch on the nock on top. Then, you are done.

Tips

  • Use store bought arrows or homemade.
  • Sisal and sinew is a good bow string.
