How to Make a Food Cooling Cover from Embroidery Hoops



A homemade solution to making a food cooling cover that is very effective. This is suitable for placing over any cooking that is cooling but might be attacked by insects or dust if left uncovered.

Steps

    Take an embroidery hoop of a size suited to the dishes being used.

    Cut a piece of cheesecloth to the correct size and insert it into the hoop in the same way as an embroidery piece.

    Place over the item cooling. It will keep the dust or insects out while at the same time allowing the air to continue circulating clearly. The hoops keep the cloth from falling into the contents of the dish and they also weigh just enough to keep it from blowing off.
