Learning things without ever forgetting them can be a big challenge for some kids. Especially if you're having a lot of trouble with that particular subject in school. This article will explain how you can learn things without forgetting them in the near future.

Steps

    Read the book, article, or lesson at least 3 times before you stop and move on to the next step.
    • 3 readings should be enough: on first reading you should concentrate to precisely identify the main topic(s); second reading on the subparts of the book/article/lesson; third one, to put the whole thing together.
    • Be sure your readings are intense, especially when short; your brain's much better with effort, no matter what's your capacity.

    Read it over one more time, this time writing in your copybook the most important key phrases, facts or ideas of the lesson, article or book. From now, your brain should start to well memorize things you read. For some people the act of writing, alone, is a key for memory, giving their brain enough time to assimilate the concept.

    Read over your notes carefully and make graphics, pictures and drawings over to the side of the paper for you to memorize. Most people are visual, so this step, although long, is often crucial for memorizing and understanding too.
