Four Parts:About 30 Days BeforeAt least 2 weeks beforeThe Night BeforeThe Next Morning

Have you been wanting to host a sleepover, but because of your bedwetting have tried to refrain from hosting one? Don't worry. This article can give you the details on how you can host one.

Part 1
About 30 Days Before

  1. 1
Set aside a list of potential sleepover invitees. Whether the know your secret or not, it'll be pertinent to know just who you are inviting over to sleep that night.
  2. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 5
    2
Determine if your invited guest is a true friend or not. Would you want your invitee to know you have been having bedwetting accidents or would you like to keep these accidents a complete secret? Determine if you can trust that they won't let any of your secret out to others.
    • Medical conditions such as bedwetting affect all sorts of people in many different ways. Just like some people can't see without glasses and some people can't get around without a wheelchair, your body just can't control the urge to urinate without letting you know. We're all different. A true friend will understand and will accept that you aren't wetting the bed maliciously.
  3. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 1
    3
Write and send the invitation to your sleepover guest. Either write a letter on a clean sheet of paper or on a computer, or write the invitation inside of a blank card. Mention that you are having a sleepover from a certain mentioned time till the next morning, but try not to mention in the letter that you wet the bed unless you can assure people that you can take the proper precautions to prevent them from getting wet in turn or your accident causing others to shy away from coming to your house that night.
  4. 4
Date your invitation on the page, so they know when you wrote the invitation. So they can be assured that they are reading a current invite, dating the invite is a good practice to do when writing an invitation for another event later down the line.
  5. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 2
    5
Set aside a date and a time when the sleepover will begin and plan in advance. Write this date down in the invitation.
  6. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 6
    6
Mention the address the sleepover is being held at. This is critical.
  7. 7
Give your guests the power to choose whether which beds they will sleep on. If you don't have enough beds, mention to them that you don't and suggest all your guests bring other sleeping furniture for the sleepover. Try to utilize any empty beds.
  8. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 4
    8
Look for clues of how you could attempt to form the sleepover. Bunk beds tend to have problems during sleepovers when the hosting person bedwets. Sleeping in the bottom bunk tends to not have too many problems, though this will depend greatly on the setup of the room the sleeping portion will take place within.
  9. 9
Assure your guests (if you have siblings) that your siblings won't be permitted to enter your room during the sleepover and that they will be watched over by your parents, so they will not bother your guests (as long as you can efficiently trust your parents to watch over your siblings while you and your guests are asleep or are getting ready to sleep.
    • If your siblings are still babies, let your guests know that your siblings are only babies, and that, though they can expect crying, they shouldn't expect other creepy crawlies into the guest's bedroom when the guest isn't looking - such as during the night.
  10. 10
Mention which door you'd like them to use, if you use an alternate door to enter and exit from besides your front door.
  11. 11
Give your invitees time to RSVP to your sleepover. Mail your invites at least two weeks prior to the sleepover. Mention the date that the guest must RSVP by.
  12. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 3
    12
Let them realize that nothing different changes between you and your guests no matter if you have to wear bedwetting diapers or not.

    1
Get acquainted to the use of wearing a disposable bedwetting diaper now. To ensure that you'll be able to get used to it, it's pertinent that you prepare yourself for this stage of your sleepover. It's quite a big transition between having to wear one (after not having to wear one) and not wearing one and wishing you had. Have your parents help you choose and assist in each of the places in getting used to it.
    • If you still take siestas (naps) in the afternoon or evening hours, choose to get used to wearing these diapers in your afterhours naptimes too. If you still attend school during the later portion of the afternoon or have some sort of oddball schedule set up for naps after you arise to start your day, you may have to delay this until your next nap or until the weekend's schedule of nap and break/down-times.
  2. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 8
    2
Realize that you'll probably need to give your self a diaper change during the night. Learn how you'll need to change your diapers during a few of the afternoon or evening times a within a few days prior to hosting the sleepover.
  3. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 9
    3
Wear a disposable bedwetting diaper to bed every night on each of the consecutive nights leading up to the sleepover. Changing from your day-clothes into your nightclothes and clean bedwetting diaper is crucial to the preparation that must go on during the sleepover night.
    • Pre-planning to a sleepover is key when the host kid bedwets. Make sure that the idea of wearing one isn't a foreign idea to you and that you can become expected to wear one seamlessly from the evening till the next morning each of the days leading up to and including the sleepover night.
  4. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 10
    4
Use a disposable bed mat on your bed to protect the bed itself in case of a mess during the night., much like you'd need to do when using your disposable bedwetting diaper, all to ensure the bed itself can't become wet from a wetting accident occurs.
  5. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 11
    5
Change and dispose of each wet diaper you end up with claiming after and during each wetting accident. Have a trash bag or garbage can that has a lid become the holding area of wet disposable products such as wet disposable bedwetting diapers and the wet disposable bedmats.
  6. 6
Use alternative waterproof fitted-style sheets directly ontop of the mattress(sometimes these are called waterproof mattress covers). Although they sell these in stores such as ToysRUs, most of them are found online. These can help salvage even more of the bed's fine fibers from becoming ruined due in part to the wetting accident. These don't go overtop of the fitted sheet on the bed, but can help from the accident to travel through.
  7. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 12
    7
Try not to be ashamed if you find that you wet your bed. Even at age twelve, lots of kids still wet their bed[1].
  8. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 13
    8
Keep the bedwetting diaper packages out in full visible view for the first several days of the following two week period. Make sure that these packages have diapers in them, should you need to change them by yourself at night, should a wetting accident occur. You might even want to keep a few spare diapers in a stack in an "out of the way location" and recharge the package of diapers once you've reached about three diapers left in the package. Most bedwetters prefer to keep their open diaper packages at one end of their dresser to ensure they don't forget their diapers before they begin the sleeping process each and every night before the sleepover.
    • If your parents help you make your bed, or help with your clothes, have them do a daily check to see how many diapers you have left. If you are able to put on your clothes by yourself, you'll want to watch the stack very closely.
    • Make sure that diaper package is opened so that the person who performs the diaper-changes can quickly grab the widest edge of the diaper and pull it out so you don't grab too much of too many extra diapers. You'll need to find the edge of the package that has the diaper parts that have the center wetting core be the end of the package you'll want to split apart, so that all you'll need to do is open your hand wide (between your thumb and pointer finger of your writing hand) and pull the diaper out from the package.
      • Sometimes, if you grab what you think is just the ruffles of one diaper from the top end, you'll realize that some diapers stick together and that you've grabbed two diapers. Prevent that from happening and cut open and take only from the bottom of the pack.
    • Don't ever cut into either of the side panels of the diaper package. You can accidentally cut into the diaper if you cut too far deep into it,and these cut-into diapers will need to be disposed of to ensure no leakage happens.
  9. 9
Remind yourself to change your diaper every night, Even if you didn't have an accident in the last night's diaper, try and take a fresh one. Sweat can build up inside the bedwetting diaper's parts and can end up sticking back to your skin in your genital's region. Fresh new diapers each night will help prevent this.
  10. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 14
    10
Ask your parents how you should handle accidents during the night, should you end up having one, even with the diaper on. Sometimes, if the messes aren't too bad, most bedwetters don't even change and rely on only using the diaper during the sleepover and waiting until morning to release; most often kids will want to change themselves including the diaper and wet bed stuff. This decision must be left to the wearer and their parents to decide how they'd like to let this evolve up to the sleepover night.

Part 3
The Night Before

  1. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 15
    1
Move the bedwetting diapers from current place you are stacking the diapers into a less-seen place. Bring out several diapers from the package and set them down in a less locatable place, such as in an empty (or close to empty) drawer away from prying eyes of your visitor(s). (If the drawer has space, you can keep these diapers and your other daytime undergarments combined in the same drawer. Keep any other diapers from the package in another drawer or out of the way. If you can, you can keep some of these diapers under the child's bed (but this will need to be agreed upon by the parents and the wearer to know where these extras are, an hour or two prior to the sleepover night.
    • Keep the pulled-out end of the diapers still in the same orientation in the less-seen place, so the diaper can still be pulled from the same orientation rather quickly on this night, and so the confusion during that night doesn't begin. You've started a regimen before, and changing it now would be useless and forgotten where and how to grab it.
  2. 2
Empty or put into another place the trash bag that is used to hold dirty pairs of your bedwetting diapers, so as not to show your bedwetting secrets to your guests already.
  3. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 16
    3
Cover the bed with a fresh mat, even if the night before the sleepover the old mat wasn't wet. Change it either way! Start out with the bed clean and fresh. Make the transition to that sleepover night seem seemless but worthwhile.
  4. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 17
    4
Plan to get yourself changed into your bedwetting diaper prior to greeting your friends at the door. If your party guests arrive unexpectedly early, you'll need to cover up a little bit, taking a diaper with you into your private place or bathroom without seeming odd or different. Even if the sleepover doesn't start until later in the evening, you'll want little contact with showing your guests that you wear a diaper to bed and having an embarrasment begin when they arrive. Without showing them, present yourself to them when you arrive at the door to walk them in.
  5. 5
Try not to use the diaper until the sleeping portion begins. Use the bathroom as normal, and carry on as you would normally do, just adding a few minutes to this adjustment. Always plan a few extra moments out when wearing your diaper when you are around your friends or other houseguests. having an embarrassment happen, and will want to wear one when you greet them.
  6. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 18
    6
Conceal as best you possibly can the fact that you have to wear a bedwetting diaper, if the houseguest isn't a true friend, by wearing super-loose clothing overtop of the diaper. If they are a true friend, you can tell them your deep dark secret during any evening activities without stirring up trouble or causing an embarrassing situation to arise. In either situation, don't use tight-fitting clothing, but do wear other nightwear to ensure they are less spotted.
    • Realize that with bedwetting diapers being thicker than a normal pair of underwear, you may want to wear one-size slightly larger underwear overtop of the diaper to ensure the diaper doesn't get exposed and/or doesn't crinkle when you move around in them during that night. You can go around without a pair of underwear on top of the diapers wearing a pair of pants and shirt instead, but be aware that you must be able to conceal your diapers until all of your guests know about your bedwetting issue to ensure you don't expose your secret too early.
  7. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 19
    7
Greet your friends with a surprised look on your face. You can neglect to mention your use of diapers, if you'd like. But if your friends are you're true friends, they might want to know and you should really hint that you need to wear them. Tell them that you have accidents in your bed, but they shouldn't be shocked as you have taken as many preventative actions against yourself, themselves and your bed from your urine stream from going onto them.
    • Don't reveal that you wet your bed, if your invitee or your invitees friends don't trust that you'll know how to handle accidents.
    • If you suspect or have noticed your guests also having to wear bedwetting diapers, you're in luck. Mention to only them that you wear diapers for your bedwetting problem. They'll thank you later for telling them, unless you choose to play it cool and make it not seem too suspicious that you've noticed signs of their diapers.
  8. Image titled Host a Sleepover when You Know That You Wet the Bed Step 20
    8
Keep the greeting very casual prior to the sleepover. Don't make the greeting be any more drawn out than saying hello and walking them in. However, don't make it seem as if you were awaiting their arrival while sitting next to the door when you provide the greeting. doorbell chime and race over to the door to greet them.
    • Even if you realize that you can still hold your urine during the day, having to change into the diaper when the friend is at your house can become chaotic and problematic for most. Refrain from showing off that you wear diapers to bed as much as you can possibly tolerate. Don't feel ashamed if your sleepover guest must find out that you wet your bed. It's a natural problem, and eventually they will want to know why you have to keep concealing your "secret" from them. That issue must be up to the wearer and their parents to decide.

Utilize the system of diaper-wearing as you have during those last few weeks. It all comes down to handle your bedwetting problem, much like you've been handling it with the same processes from the past few weeks.

The Next Morning

Continue to wear the diaper you had on the previous night to assure the houseguest-invitee that nothing about you has changed, regardless of how much of an accident you had in your diaper that night - as it could as well be soaked, if you chose not to arise when the wetting accident occurred as not to awaken your sleepover guest. You'll get your chance to change your diaper into your day clothes in a little while to change out of them, but for now, you'll have to live with wearing them while your houseguest is still in your house.
    • If you have time before they awaken, you might be able to slip into the bathroom and change yourself. However, if your guest has arisen at the same time, you'll need to delay your diaper and clothing change into day clothes until the guest departs.

Close the door to your house and run back into your bedroom and take out all your clothes for the new day. Take off your nightwear and diaper. If you are intending to have other sleepovers at your house soon thereafter, plan on continuing to use the diaper regimen and keep up the process so as not to forget.

Prepare the bed with a new disposable bed mat that can be bought at many baby stores and some supermarket retailers on - and off - line..

Tips

  • Be extra vigilant if you decide to invite a guest over of the opposite sex for the sleepover that night. Members of the opposite sex will seem to wonder why you are avoiding their presence more often.
  • If you must sleep on bunk beds, the invitee must sleep on the top bunk to ensure that any of the host's bedwetting accident doesn't dribble down onto the invitee during that night, as well as so that the invitee doesn't notice that the bedwetter doesn't get up and grab new diapers after an accident. Use common courtesy though, if your friend says they have problems with sleeping in the same room or in the top bunk of a bunk bed and can find another suitable place to sleep in your house that's fair to you, your parents and their parents. You may have to explain why you need to place the mat on the bed, but it'll save the furniture from creaking during the night and thereby won't potentially wake up your invited guest.
  • Gather details on whether or not your friend bedwets too during the night. If so, you can share the same package the night of the sleepover, and make adequate plans to keep the pairs freshly stocked for both you and your invitees to share during that sleepover night.
  • Change only the wet diaper after the accident during the night, but don't make a big fuss; don't talk or allow the furniture or your diapers to creek around as you walk.
  • If the invitees must sleep over for more than one consecutive night, you must find another way to conceal the fact that you wear the diaper, so you don't always have to walk around in a diapers over the course of the consecutive nights. Since you shouldn't always walk around in a wet diaper, you'll have to devise another acceptable way to keep your secret while wearing diapers. Instead, you could stash the entire package of diapers on one shelf of the bathroom and change your diapers in there. Make sure to alert the bedwetter to garbage-bag all wet diapers each night they wet their have an accident in their bedwetting diapers and let them change theirs a few minutes before their guests arise from their slumber, and hope for the best.
  • Prepare yourself with a quick way out of accidents, should an accident occur during the night. The diaper and bed mat pad may protect your body and bed a bit, but no piece of clothing is foolproof - no matter how disposable it is believed or claimed to be. Things happen that can make accidents seem very disastrous during sleepover nights.
  • If you are able, reduce the risk of wetting the bed overnight by not having anything to drink for an hour and a half before bedtime and making sure you empty your bladder before bedtime.
  • If your sleepover turns into a slumber party, set aside some slumber party ideas for stuff to do before the sleepover. Let life go on as normal, but have a few different things going on before the sleeping portion that can ensure you two can form a close friendship and bonding time that night.

Warnings

  • Make sure that none of your siblings can invite themselves into the sleeping quarters and expose your secrets to your invited guests that night.
  • By all means, if you can catch yourself without urinating into the bedwetting diaper and can make it into the bathroom that night, go and take care of "business" in the bathroom itself. But keep these trips to the bathroom as minimal as you can. Don't arise suspicion by utilizing your only your diaper that night, because you have the occasional accident. Minimize as much possibility as you can and draw out as much urine before setting off to sleep that night.
  • There should be no need to use sleeping bags for the sleepover night. Don't feel ashamed that you must conceal the diaper too much. Use protection for your body and carry on with life as best as humanely possible. If the invitee feels like they don't want to sleep near you, have them bring an alternate sleeping bag and let them sleep at the other end of your bed facing the opposite way. Have them get in first with their sleeping bag, then you get into your bed.
  • If you have a medical condition that means you wet your bed occasionally, don't be ashamed! Treat your less-severe accidents the same way as described above.
  • If you have to take medications to help manage frequent bedwetting, by all means take that medication! Don't skip your medications the night of the sleepover. You may have to take your meds in an alternate place if you are afraid your guests will accidentally find out, but that's a small part of dealing with life while stuck in a bedwetting phase.
  • Try not to use bedwetting alarms if you don't want your friends to find out that you wet the bed. Although they will alert you to the moisture before the bedwetting accident occurs, they'll also warn the guest that you're beginning to wet the bed. Take the other preventative measures above to ensure you have a safe, restful and enjoyable sleepover.
  • Never place a plastic bag of any size (or any waterproof or plastic sheet) on top of the bed, or use the bag to cover up during the night. Plastic and waterproof sheets can cause suffocation. There is a major risk of death, if used.
