How to Hit a Baseball Frequently and Well

Are you missing the ball in a baseball game a lot or every time? Read this to figure out why and how to fix it.

Steps

    Get a good bat that fits you. Make sure that you can hold the bat out in front of you for at least a minute if your arm starts to get wobbly, its too big.

    Practice with your bat: Hit off of a tee. This is the most overlooked aspect when it comes to perfecting a swing. Once you feel comfortable on a tee, then you move to underhand toss, then to live pitching over the top in a batting cage.

    When you're in a game, time the pitch and step forward according to how fast the pitch is coming to you. Move your feet! If you just plant your feet you're never going to be able to get a good swing in i.e. NOT MUCH POWER, NOT GOING TO HIT IT MUCH.

    Keep your bat still and slide your hands straight down to the ball to make your hands faster. Also, don't wrap your bat because all you're doing by wrapping is slowing your swing down.

    Practice. Practice at training, at home, on the field, in your sleep.

Tips

  • If you're having troubles getting the bat around you're entire body try letting you're dominant hand let go.

  • Stretch or you'll pull something.
