How to Have Fun at the Park
When people think of the park, the first thing they think of may not always be fun. They may just think it's a boring place where you walk on trails. The truth is, there are ways to have a lot of fun at parks. If you'd like to know some of these ways, then move right down to step 1 below.
Steps
- 1Slide down the slides. Sometimes, they'll even have slides that swirl as you go down. Look around, and see if there's one that looks like fun to you.
- If you are a bit older, do not go down any slides designed for very young children. It will be virtually pointless, and you are using it when a very young child may want to.
- 2Swing on the swings. For little children who can't push themselves, then have someone else push them.
- 3Play on the playgrounds. Sometimes, there will be fun activities such as ladders, fire poles, or even tic tac toe!
- 4Get a few friends to hang around with. That way, you won't be alone when you are doing things, and you'll have someone to talk to.
- 5Play your favorite sports. Some parks may have areas to play them, or you can play it off to the side. From basketball to tennis, the possibilities are endless! Be sure that you bring sports equipment with you, however, as most parks don't have sports equipment readily available.
- 6Get on a tire swing if there is one. Have someone push you on it, and have someone ride with you if you wish, and spin around until you get dizzy.
Tips
- Don't let anyone ruin your fun. Whether it be your parents or one of your friends, if they're telling you that something you want to do is stupid, don't let that stop you from doing it. After all, you're there to have fun.
- If you are under 13, be sure that either you stay with your parents or that they know exactly where you are at all times. While it may seem annoying to you, it'll mean that you're safe and your parents are happy.
Warnings
- Be sure that you are careful when doing all of these things, especially the tire swing. The last thing that you want is to get hurt. Therefore, if you are dizzy on the tire swing, or you are getting tired or out of breath when you're playing sports, you need to stop immediately, even if you want to continue.
