How to Handstand on a Skateboard

This is a popular trick among "Old School" skaters and is really fun to do. Please read on to find out how to handstand on a skateboard.

Steps

    Keep your trucks slightly loose, turning while doing a handstand will help you maintain your balance.

    Get in a place to where you are rolling with decent speed.

    Without flipping it, bring your feet to the front side of the board. Or, you can get a small running start and place your hands on the board and bring your feet up into a handstand.

    Lift your feet up, at the same time placing your bent arms on the board. Do not bend your elbows too much because you can lose your balance.

    Lift your feet to where they are above your head, making your arms almost completely straight, but leaving a little bend for balance.

    Keeping your arms straight, bring your feet back down, do a front flip to the front side of the board. Or, you can bring your feet back down behind you, the same way you got up on your board.

    Roll away smoothly.

Tips

  • Wear a helmet- no matter if you're a first timer or not
  • Practice keeping your balance before you attempt this
  • Don't think about falling.

Warnings

  • Watch out for crack pavement or debris around the area. Best place would be the skate park or somewhere which recently has been newly paved.
  • Make sure there are no rocks or anything on the ground where you are doing this, or you might crack your skull. Your decision.
  • Do not try this unless you know how to do a handstand and know how the handstand works.
  • Experts Only! Very important, because there is a risk of serious injury with this trick.
