How to Go off a Ledge on a Skateboard

Going off a ledge on a skateboard is quite fun. You can ollie off of them, or just ride off them.

Steps

    Find a ledge that is rideable , and is about four feet (if you are a starter).

    Get some speed since it will help a lot getting off.

    When the edge is about a foot away, bend your knees a little.

    Lift off your front wheels like a manual when the front wheels get to the edge.

    Hold the manual until you drop off.

    Lean forward a little bit so the board "levels-out", or both wheels are parallel to the ground.

    Bend your knees as you absorb impact.

    Ride away happy.

Tips

  • Look for NO SKATEBOARDING signs on the property you are skateboarding on.
  • Land on the bolts so it will look cleaner.
  • Don't lift up too far, otherwise the back wheels will hit the ground first. This makes it hard to keep balance because one of three things will happen:the front wheels flop on concrete;the board slips out from under you;the tail snaps.
  • Start on as small ledge.
  • After manueling off ledges, try to ollie off of them.
