How to Get Younger Looking Skin by Exfoliation

Exfoliation of skin is a great way towards a younger looking skin, which works by removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin's outermost surface. Exfoliation is involved in the process of all facials, during microdermabrasion or chemical peels at medical spas. Exfoliation can be achieved through mechanical or chemical means.

Have microdermabrasion. It is a non-invasive procedure, which is performed in-office by a trained skin care professional.

Try glycolic acid. This is perhaps the best known of a group of fruit acids or alpha hydroxy acids (AHA). It is derived from sugar cane, so it can be considered a natural product. Its properties to exfoliate dead cell on the skin and peel the top layer of the skin makes it an excellent product for daily use. Your aesthetician or doctor can determine the concentration needed to safely cause an effect of natural chemical peel.

  • Always use these products after consultation with your physician. Some of these procedures can cause skin damage in susceptible individuals.
