Make sure you have supplied a valid working email address in your account. You could have supplied this address when you signed up, but since the email address was optional, some users don't feel prudent to type one in. On the main Preferences page, the text box entry for "E-mail (Optional):" will give you this same box again. It must be filled in with something, to receive your notifications.
    • Scroll all the way down, and click the "Save" button.

Tips

  • If emails aren't enough, You can even have each article you publish new, shown to you in your Special:Watchlist. You'll find the option to add newly-created articles on the Watchlist tab of your preferences automatically using the method in How to Automatically Add Articles You've Adjusted to Your wikiHow Watchlist. Visit your Watchlist daily, to see if pages have had changes.
  • Make it apparent that you check the Special:AuthorEmailNotification page often and scroll through the remainder of the list to ensure no articles have been missed along the way due to accidental forgetfulness. It doesn't cost you anything to check. It only takes a few extra seconds of your time, but that's minute, when you compare this to any other editing time you tend to do.
