How to Get a Natural Rush

Due to contrary belief, you do not need drugs to get high, nor alcohol. The "objective" is to increase the level of endorphins in your brain. Whenever they are elevated, you temporarily get a happy and relaxed feeling. No, you don't hallucinate, but it is better than whipping out all of your money for possibly illegal drugs that are fatal for your health.

    Do aerobic exercise for 30 minutes. Aerobic exercise is any exercise that activates the respiratory system. Examples of it are walking, running and dancing. It will increase your levels of endorphins and give you a good feeling.

    Pray for at least 10 minutes. The medical community now believes that prayer alters the body's chemistry. It elevates endorphins, making the person delivering the prayer feel at peace.

    Eat a piece of chocolate. The feeling created by ingestion of chocolate has often been compared to the feelings generated by love. That is because the substances in chocolate trigger the release of endorphins, giving a person a nearly instant high.

    Indulge in your passion. A person, place or thing that you love will cause a release of endorphins. It all has to do with your increased level of excitement. So, if you love jumping out of airplanes, go for it. Afterward, you will feel a sense of euphoria.

    Meditate alone for 10 minutes. Focusing your mind intensely on something positive will elevate your endorphins and make you feel relaxed and at peace. It's the reason why you've never seen an angry monk.

    Reduce your intake of alcohol. Alcohol is a depressant that alters the chemicals in your brain in a negative way. So, if you don't drink often or at all, your endorphin levels will naturally increase because a foreign substance is not inhibiting them.
