Made from one bath and one hand towel, "Fido" is quite well house trained and will give your guests a warm and fuzzy welcome. Cruise lines and B&B Motels use these to make their guest's stay memorable.

Method 1
Making the Legs and Body

    Lay the bath towel flat.

    Roll the left end to the center.

    Roll the right end to the center.

    Bend one roll to lay over the other as shown.

    Set aside.

Method 2
Making the Head

    Lay hand towel flat.

    Fold it in half.

    Fold the 'closed' end toward the 'open' end approximately 1/4th of the way.

    Tuck the folded edge under, or fold the towel over.

    Fold the open end to the closed end.

    Hold the corner, pull it up and toward the center. Then, repeat for the opposite end.

    Roll ends to middle.
    • Roll the bottom end up.

    • While still holding the rolled bottom piece, roll the top half down.

    Turn over.

    Pull the front flaps down. Right flap tucked under, left flap still waiting to be tucked in, forming the "forehead".

    Fold and tuck the left flap.

    Place "head" on "body". Display proudly!

Tips

  • Roll the towel tightly. Then the dog won't fall apart as easy. Have someone hold the other end or put something heavy on the side you are not rolling.
  • Use an extra plush towel for the dog's body; thinner towels don't work as well.
  • Try hard to use your imagination to see a dog, because the finished product does not actually look anything like a dog.
