Answer the phones-when you answer the phones, be polite and courteous, tell them the offers but don't be pushy. Quote a delivery time slightly longer than it should take, this will make them happy when it gets there early.

Get the right vehicle. The vehicle plays a huge role-trucks work best, the smaller the better, used and beat up. Not a junker but just a few dents here or there, it shows you need money. Keep it clean, and park it on the street, visible from the door. If possible, make the more beat up side of your car visible.

Don't forget to thank them-especially if they tip well, trust me, the next driver who goes there will reap the benefits, but if everyone does it...then everyone wins.
    • Note-If they come to the door with cash or a check you will have a harder time getting a larger tip than they previously intended, if they paid on a card however, it is much easier to change their mind because they just have to write in an amount.(but you have to pay taxes)

Warnings

  • Caution: you will have bad days, it happens to everyone. DO NOT come to the door angry or depressed, because then your tips will go down.
  • If the customers give you extra money and their paying in cash, make sure you ask them if they intended to. Just because they hand you extra money, does not mean that it is a tip. They could get angry at you if you don't ask.
