How to Dry Roast Carom Seeds

Carom Seeds are used in few Indian dishes. They enhance the taste of the dish. There is a specific smell which is inherent in these seeds. Here is the step by step method to dry roast these seeds at home. Various uses of these will be shown in the forthcoming articles.


  • 150 grams Carom Seeds

    Add carom seeds in a frying pan.

    Turn on the gas stove.

    Continuously stir fry them with the help of a spoon.

    Smell the authentic fragrance emitted by dry roasting of these seeds.

    Observe the change in the color.

    Continue stir fry of these seeds till they had acquired the brown color.

    Remove from the gas stove and place them in a bowl.
