How to Draw a Boy

A depiction of a boy is a perfect candidate for drawing. Drawings of boys appear in animation or in any media to communicate to the audience something about the male person. Let's begin!
Steps
Method 1 Cartoon Boy
- 1Draw a circle for the boy’s head with a cross in the lower half portion of the circle.
- 2Draw a square for the boy’s body. Small squares or rectangular-shapes fitted at the appropriate size for the arms and legs. Draw small circles or ovals for the hands and feet.
- 3Draw the eyes, cheeks, mouth, ears and hair using the circle as a guide.
- 4Refine the hands and feet to resemble the natural for in a human.
- 5Draw figures of square or rectangle to form the clothes for the boy.
- 6Erase the overlapping parts that are unnecessary.
- 7Color the boy to your liking!
Method 2 Traditional Boy
- 1Draw a small circle with a tail line (like a balloon with a string). Draw a cross-section inside the circle facing to the right direction (or any direction).
- 2Draw the stick figures using lines for the boy’s arms and legs. You can position them any way you like.
- 3Draw small circles indicating each joint in the boy’s body (shoulders, elbows, knees, ankle) and a square for the boy’s body.
- 4Trace the body of the boy using the sketch, making the curves that would resemble reality.
- 5Erase unnecessary lines and overlaps. Trace the boy’s head using the circle as sketch.
- 6Erase unnecessary lines and refine the hands and eyes.
- 7Color the drawing as you like!
