How to Disable Office 2013 Start Screen

If you feel annoyed by the Start Screen every time you open an Office 2013 program like Word, Excel or PowerPoint, you should disable it by following these steps.

Steps

    Open the Run window using (Windows + R) and type regedit. Click OK.

    Navigate to this location - HKEY_CURRENT_USER >> Software >> Microsoft >> Office >> 15.0 >> Common >> General. Right click on General, New and then DWORD (32 bit) value.

    Name the value as DisableBootToOfficeStart and then right-click on it and select Modify.

    Change the value data from 0 to 1 and click OK. The Start Screen has been disabled from all Office 2013 programs.
