How to Delete Titles from the Suggested Topic Database on wikiHow

Three Methods:Straight RedirectWhen You Can't Redirect ItWhen An Article Already Exists

On wikiHow, the Suggested Topic Database provides editors with topics that others have suggested. Unfortunately, some are inappropriate or duplicates. However, deleting a new article will not remove the title from the database.

Administrators and boosters may delete suggested topics. If you are not an admin or booster, please use the Suggested Topics to Delete page so that it can be brought to attention.

Tips

  • Making a straight redirect would basically mimic how one would propose a redirect without the approval of a booster or an admin.

Warnings

  • Even though New Article Boosters can delete new topic requests as they arrive, they can NOT delete already-approved Suggested Topics from the Requested Articles Database. You'll have to contact an Admin on this and/or write a Request to this page(under the appropriate category relating to its reason). Give it within the course of about 2-3 weeks, and it should be approved.
