Foster your child’s imagination by creating a spectacular place to play. A playroom needs more than toys to be fun place to spend time. Bright colors, unique designs and plenty of storage will make the playroom an area your child won’t want to leave.

Method 1
Choose a Place for the Playroom

Whether it’s a spare room or an area in the family room or even in the basement, your child needs a space dedicated to them and their toys.

Tips

  • Use artwork your child made to decorate the playroom. Put it in a picture frame and hang it on the wall.
  • Divide the room into different areas: eating, reading, arts and crafts, and playing. Put a blanket and some pillows in a corner with a low lamp for the reading area. It will feel cozy to the child.
  • Use washable chairs, pillows, and other items to make them easy to care for.
  • Find accessories at a flea market or thrift store.

  • Make sure all items are safe and kid-friendly. Do not use lamps that can be dangerous or other breakable objects.
