Three Methods:PreparationLeaf PatternSticker Pattern
Decorating eggs, especially hard-boiled ones, is loads of fun. If you want to learn how to do it, read on.
Steps
Method 1 Preparation
Method 2 Leaf Pattern
- 1In your garden, pick some leaves that you think are pretty.
- 2Place the leaf on the egg where you want the pattern to be.
- 3Put the egg and leaf in the sock and tie it together with an elastic. Make sure the leaf lays flat on the egg and won't move.
- 4Boil some water and put 10 drops of food dye and 1 tbsp. of vinegar in it.
- 5When the water's boiling, put the egg into the water.
- 6Constantly check it to make sure that the egg turns the colour it's intended to be.
- 7When the egg turns the right colour, take it out of the water and put it in a safe place to cool down.
- 8When the egg is cool, take it out of the sock. There should be a print of the leaf on the egg.
Method 3 Sticker Pattern
- 1Get some stickers.
- 2Put the sticker on the egg (should be loose).
- 3Put the egg in the sock.
- 4Once again boil some water with 10 drops of food dye and 1 tbsp. of vinegar in it.
- 5Put the egg in and constantly check it.
- 6When it turns the right colour, you should see the sticker has tightened.
- 7When the eggs are ready, cool them down.
- 8Take them out of the sock.
- 9Finished!
- If none of these ideas work, then you could always buy some paint and a fine brush and paint patterns on it.
