How to Decide Whether or Not to Completely Boost an Article on wikiHow

When you work on an article in wikiHow, you don't have to do it all at once, and you don't have to actually boost it.

Steps

    Look at it. See what needs to be done. Here are some of the decisions to be made:
    • Do you want to work on it? Sometimes an article is more than you want to do at the moment. That's ok.
    • Is it even redeemable/'savable'? Perhaps it can be processed with an NFD.
    • Does the content have any viable information? It may be advertisement, but sometimes, they can be fixed to be a legitimate contribution. Other times, not so much.
    • Was any attempt made on the format? If it's an advertisement or political comment, don't try to fix it. If people who are trying to accomplish an agenda can't be bothered, why should you. The best choice for those are a speedy template.

    If you think it could be fixed, but you aren't up to it, put a copyedit or format template on it. However, do not process it through NAB. Skip it (click on Skip/Cancel).

    If it's a suspected copyright violation, as before, just decide how much, if any, you want to work on it. Sometimes, skipping it is enough.
