Method 3
Create a Simple Round Bouquet

  1. 1
Allow yourself 30 to 60 minutes to complete the project.
  2. 2
Have your supplies ready. This will include 30 to 60 stems of your chosen flowers for your bouquet (this can be closer to 20 to 40 for the bridesmaid bouquets); waxed floral tape or rubber bands; a wire cutter, as most silk stems use wire underneath the plastic portion of the stem; ribbon in a color that will compliment the dresses and/or d├ęcor; and straight pins or corsage pins (pearl topped pins will look the best).
  3. 3
Start by adding your first four flowers together and putting them in a square shape. Make sure that they are at an even height as they will create the center of your floral dome.
  4. 4
Add additional flowers one by one to your center mass of flowers.
  5. 5
Secure the stems, once you are done adding all the flowers, with floral tape and/or the rubber bands approximately three to four inches below the heads of the flowers. Add a second binding approximately two inches from the bottom of the stems.
  6. 6
Trim the stems using the wire cutter to your desired length, and make sure that they are even.
  7. 7
Cut a piece of ribbon approximately three times the length of your stems.
  8. 8
Tuck the end of the ribbon into your top floral tape or rubber band binding and start wrapping your stems.
    • Work your way down the base of the flowers until you get to the end. Cover the tips of your flowers, and then work your way back up the stems to the top. Once there trim your ribbon as needed and tuck into the binding/top ribbon.
    • Secure the top of the ribbon with pins pushed both into the ribbon and the stems.
  9. 9
Add additional pins down the length of the bouquet as desired to secure the ribbon and part of the design. If adding the pins for appearance, make sure that they are spaced evenly.

  • To see how your bouquet is progressing from all angles, stand in front of a mirror as you create the bouquet. This will allow you to see it from more than just your vantage point as you are creating it.
