How to Create an Online Storefront Using Homestead
Homestead is website creation and hosting service that provides you with browser based site builder tools and a personalized URL. The service also allows you to create a web store with integrated payment options for selling a product or service through your website. This article will teach you how to create an online storefront using Homestead.
Steps
- 1Visit the Homestead website.
- 2Click “Log in”.
- 3Enter the username and password associated with your Homestead account.
- Click “Try it free” from the homepage and follow the onscreen instructions to setup your User ID if you don’t already have an account.
- 4Click the “Login” button.
- 5Click the “Sell Online” link on the left.
- 6Select either “SimpleStore” or “Intuit Storefront” depending on the ecommerce solution that best fits your needs. (SimpleStore is used in this example).
- 7Click “Upgrade Now” to purchase the solution of your choice.
- 8”Click “My Websites” on the left.

- 10Drag the SimpleStore element to any page of your site from within the site builder.
Tips
- You can view how your site will appear to visitors before publishing by clicking the “Preview” button from within the SiteBuilder editor.
