How to Create a Spooky Ghost Milkshake

This milkshake is perfect for Halloween or a ghostly Soirée, this milkshake will have your guests gagging - with delight. Watch out for the ectoplasm.


Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 3 - 4 scoops vanilla/buttermilk/caramel/banana ice cream
  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 banana
  • 2 - 4 tablespoons brown sugar (for taste)
  • 2 cups milk (whole fat milk works best)
  • Strawberry syrup (optional)

Steps

    Pour all of the ingredients except for the milk into a blender.

    Blend the ingredients until it's smooth (low - medium speed is perfect).

    Add some extra ice cream for an increased sticky, gooey ectoplasmic appearance.

    Pour the mixture into the 4 tall glasses.

    Refrigerate.

    Heat the milk in a saucepan at medium heat, until it begins to boil.

    Remove the milk from the stove and wait for it to cool down. See that skin that has formed on top? That's your spooky, ghostly ectoplasm! Scoop it up with a wooden spoon and gently pour the "ectoplasm" over the top of each milkshake.

Tips

  • For a touch of blood, drizzle strawberry syrup over the milkshake.
  • Watch Ghostbusters on your "ecto-plasma" TV at your soirée, for added ghostly amusement.
  • More ghostly plasma can be created by boiling the milk carefully, again and again until you have enough.

Warnings

  • Do not let the milk burn - it will taste more disgusting than the milkshake looks.
  • Some people really, really hate the skin that forms on the top of milk. Keep a glass free of this topping in reserve for such spoilsports!
