How to Create a Redirect on wikiHow

On wikiHow, when an article is retitled or merged, a Redirect automatically connects the old page to a new page with a more concise, more commonly searched title. However, only boosters and administrators have the ability to retitle an article. So, if you do not yet "have those buttons," move down to Step 1 to find out how to create a manual redirect.

Warnings

  • Do not redirect random articles to other random articles. This will cause other editors to be redirected all over the place, and may get angering after a while. This may even get you blocked from contributing.
  • It's always been suggested that only NAB-ers and Admins can redirect an article, but, if you know the policies super-well, there is no solid policy on other editors creating redirects.
