How to Cook Chinese Rice

    Cook white rice in a rice cooker or whatever you'd like to use.

    Once the rice is done, put as much as you want in a bowl.

    Cook some scrambled eggs with vegetable oil. Afterward, put it in a bowl.

    Cut up some onions and peppers. Put in a bowl with corn and cooked broccoli (optional).

    Turn on a pan on medium (maybe a little higher).

    Add whatever amount of vegetable oil as you need, depending on the size of the pan.

    Spill in the onions, peppers and everything else you added in the pot/pan. Add a little soy sauce (as much as you want).

    After about 2 minutes, you may pour in the eggs and the rice.

    After you have poured the rice in the pan, pour about 1/2 a cup of soy sauce (depending on how much rice you added in the pan) and mix everything up.

    Keep mixing everything together until you see that the rice has gone from white to a brownish color (caused by the soy sauce), and that the onions and peppers have fully cooked.

    Optional: If by chance you have any chicken that is cooked, you may warm it up, cut it into little pieces and add with everything in the pan.

    Now you may serve the Chinese rice! Some people put it into a small round bowl, then flip the bowl upside-down onto the plate so the rice is served in a neat mound.


  • Do not worry if this is the first time you have cooked Chinese rice from this article and it doesn't come out right. It just takes practice.


  • Do not add too much soy sauce. If you choose to, do not add any salt to the rice.
