Sometimes, when people are stressed, they react in losing control of their bladder. Does this sound familiar? Follow these steps to help control your bladder.

    Always stay cool, calm, and collected. If you stay this way, half of your battle is done. There will be no need to control your bladder. Always think positive thoughts and participate in relaxing events such as yoga, pilates, or stretching.

    Put a hand on it. If you do happen to become stressed and suddenly lose control of your bladder, place your hand over the area and press hard. Also, placing your fingers over your crotch and applying pressure can help. If you are in a populated area, then squeeze your thighs together and think of anything but the bathroom.

    Calm yourself. Learn what ticks you off and try to avoid those situations. If unavoidable, then make sure you keep your legs firmly together but don't squeeze too hard.

    In the event of an accident after a stressful situation, find something to cover yourself with: it could be a towel, a jacket, or even a napkin. Also keep your fingers pressed down on your crotch to avoid further leakage.

  • Even if you are peeing uncontrollably, keep your hands/fingers on your crotch. It will control the flow.
  • Whenever you find yourself in a stressful situation, think positive thoughts and drink lots of water. It will help blood flow.

Warnings

  • Never remove your hands or fingers from your troubled area. Even if you are in public, keep it there, it will stop any more pee from flowing.
  • If you know this happens to you a lot, always remember to bring an extra old jacket for these kinds of unpredictable events.
