How to Control Oily Hair

If your hair is oily and it looks greasy right after you take a shower, here is how to make it look non greasy.

Steps

    Do not use a lot of shampoo or conditioner, it will make your hair look greasier and oilier. Use about an eighth of a cup of shampoo and conditioner. Add more or less depending on how much hair you have.

    Towel dry your hair or at least blow dry with cool air.

    Try not to use any product after you wash your hair, but if you have to, put it in after your hair is dry. Use flexible light hold hairspray to make your hair appear shiny and less oily and greasy.

    Sprinkle baking soda to your roots and rub it in to absorb the oil. Cornstarch is also very effective at absorbing oils, sprinkle it on roots and brush through.

    Wash your hair every other day but if it becomes greasy before you wash it again then follow this schedule: wash one day in morning the next day wash at night and repeat.

Tips

  • If you are going to use product put it on the ends of your hair.
  • Wash your hair before it gets a chance to look oily or greasy.
  • Wash your hair often.

  • Do not put any product on your roots or else your hair will look greasy and more oily.
  • Do not let your hair get greasy before you wash it.
