How to Clean Your Room After a Sleepover

While sleepovers can be fun, they can also leave behind a huge mess. Follow the steps below to help get your room back to how it was before your sleepover!

Steps

    Take two trash bags up to your room. One for now, and one for later. Take one of the bags, gather all of the garbage, and put it in the bag. Put the bag to the side for later.

    Gather all of your dirty clothes. Put them all in the hamper so they are out of the way.

    Put all of your shoes in your closet. This is so you don't trip while cleaning.

    Put all of your clothes in the dresser or closet. Make sure to fold them neatly so you have room for other clothes.

    Make your bed.

    Clean the rest of your room. Clean off the top of your dresser, desk and whatever else you need to clean off, like the floor. If you have a mirror in your room, make sure to use glass cleaner and wipe it off.

    Make sure to vacuum and dust thoroughly!

Tips

  • Spraying some air freshener or lighting a candle can get rid of any odors your room may have.
  • You can put music on while you're cleaning.
  • Avoid unnecessary distractions like TV, talking on the phone, texting, etc.
  • Take breaks if you get too tired.
  • Motivate yourself to clean the room instead of groaning since it won't do you any good.
