How to Clean Vegetables in an Environmentally Friendly Way

Save water by taking the dirt off of potatoes using these simple steps!

Steps

    Fill a medium sized bowl halfway up with water.

    Place your potato/carrot in the bowl and allow it to soak for one minute.

    Retrieve the vegetable after the minute is up and gently scrub with an unused Scotch Brite easy cleaning pad.

    Repeat steps for each additional vegetable

Tips

  • It's best if you use select a Scotch Brite pad specifically for cleaning your vegetables.
