How to Clean a Twirling Baton

If you enjoy twirling a lot,and you twirl outside, eventually your baton is going to get dirty. The only solution to anything dirty is to clean it. So how do you clean a sticky, dirty, twirling baton? Read this how-to guide to find out!

Steps

    Pour some water onto a clean dishcloth until the cloth is damp. If your baton is really dirty pour a little dish or hand soap on the cloth and rub the cloth in your hand until it is bubbling.

    If the rubber ends of your baton are dirty, do not take them off unless your baton is the kind with removable ends. If your baton ends are not removable, removing them might cause permanent damage to your baton.

    Take your damp or bubbling cloth and gently rub up and down the shaft of the baton (the metal part,) until the dirt, or whatever else is on your baton is off and on the cloth.

    If there is food on your baton shaft, run warm water on the shaft.

    If your shaft is sticky, from soda or juice, rub warm water on the shaft and then rub it with a bubbling cloth.

    If the ends are dirty, take a Wet Wipe and wipe them off.

    After cleaning your baton, completely dry the shaft, just in case your baton shaft is made of a metal that will rust.

    Spread the wet cloth out and run some warm water on the cloth until the water is completely clear.

Tips

  • For in the future, try to avoid leaving your baton outside.
