How to Clean a Toilet with Alka‐Seltzer Tablets and Vinegar

Did you know you can use old-fashioned science to clean your toilet? Better yet, did you know the ingredients you need to clean a toilet using science is probably laying around your house? This technique is a more efficient and ecologically friendly way of keeping your areas clean and tidy, without the potent chemicals.

    Fill a large pitcher with sink water and pour it into the toilet bowl. You want the bowl to be more than halfway full with water, but not too much, because you will be adding more liquid.

    Drop two Alka-Seltzer tablets into the bowl. They should start to fizz, don't worry though because this is just science!

    Pour in the vinegar. Be cautious though, If you add too much, then you'll have a rather unfortunate clean-up experience!

    Scoop in the baking soda.

    Close the lid of the toilet and wait one minute.

    Raise the lid to release some of the gases (don't worry about the smells). Then flush the toilet. The toilet should be clean now.
