How to Change Dock Position on a Mac

Ever wanted your dock not just to be right down the front of the computer screen? Ever wanted it to be on the side of it instead? Here's how to do that!

Steps

    Open System Preferences. This will be in your dock but if it is not it will be under the Apple () Menu on the Menu Bar at the top of your screen.

    Once in System Preferences click on the "Dock" tab under the category "Personal".

    In the window that appears you should see an option that says Position of dock. Here there are bullets that you can change. You can have the Dock on the right, left, or bottom! Enjoy!

Tips

  • If you do this you will no longer be able to change the color of your dock on the right or left.
