How to Bleach Dark Haired Doll's Hair

Have you bought a doll with dark hair, but decided that that look isn't for you? Maybe you'd like a doll with lighter colored hair, if so, read on to step one.

Steps

    Take off all of the doll's clothes and accessories.

    Rinse the doll's hair.

    In the container put:
    • 4-6 teaspoons of baking soda
    • 4 drops of white shampoo
    • 4 drops of liquid soap
    • A little bit of tap water to make the mixture thinner.

    Stir the mixture and then lay the doll on a flat surface.

    Using an application brush or your hands, apply the mixture to your doll's hair, avoiding any face paint or make up.

    Wrap the hair in foil for four hours or overnight.

    After the allotted time is over, take the aluminum foil off and rinse the hair with warm water.

    Allow it to dry again.

    After it has dried, you should see a lighter brown amongst your doll's hair. If not, redo the mixture with more baking soda until you get your desired effect!

Tips

  • Massage the mixture throughout the hair with your hands.
  • Leave it to set and dry overnight for better results.
  • Leave the doll in a warm place but do not direct heat at it.

  • Do not attempt to dry it using heat, as the hair may melt or burn.
