How to Become a Better Person

All of us want to live with freedom, joy and love and be able to solve problems easily. This is the stage of becoming light like an angel. So how can we do this?

    Stop being angry. Don’t be suppressed, but don’t express anger. Both ways bring heavy outcomes. Just be assertive.

    Bathe. You can remove all dust and negative vibrations this way. It's also very relaxing. Relaxation makes you think more clearly.

    Breathe in and out deeply while imagining you are letting new energy come into you, and let all the heaviness and tiredness go out.

    Play a lot of positive thoughts in your mind. Then you will see your positive life express itself! If there is something bad going on in your life, try to see the silver lining.

    Always keep zeal and enthusiasm for yourself. This will bring you to the flying stage.

    Meditate or use relaxation techniques. Everyone comes to a point where they feel they can't take it anymore, everything is becoming too much, take a step back and take it easy. It's perfectly ok to want a break. You're human.

    Do the 3 Rs to become the 3 Cs... If you feel like something is becoming too much, take a step back and Relax (take deep breaths, take it easy), Refresh, (wipe any negative thoughts, clean your slate, ground yourself) and Recharge (reboost your energy and start again). Now you can be the 3 C's: Cool, Calm and Collected. These make any situation easier to cope with, make you feel like a better, more in-control person.

    Help others. Sometimes helping others makes you realize what you have might taken for granted. Help people so others can enjoy the things you enjoy.

    Be aware. Have awareness about what you attain.

    Eat in the right way. Choose healthy foods, like pasta & tomato sauce, peanut butter & jelly, and chicken sandwiches. These meals will improve your health and make you feel better.

    Sing! Laugh! Be humorous! Do something that makes your heart happy and makes you feel like dancing.

    Enjoy positive media. Listen to pretty music and read happy books.

    Realise that the foundation to being a better person is to help those around you. Incorporate your own goals and dreams into the mix whenever they come to you, but don't worry if you don't know what they are, not everyone realises their wants and needs and is a part of life trying to figure what those goals and dreams are (Some go their whole lives without realising them! But don't worry, it isn't abnormal by any means).

    Exercise thoughtful action with an ultimate theme of moderation. We are humans of habit, and often the things we find most detestable about ourselves are things that we cannot help but do. When faced with a situation that requires your action, think about what needs to be done and the best way it can be done. This often involves considering other people's emotions and the greater good, and it can be quite difficult, especially if you do not have much time. The ultimate decisions we make in every day life, however, ought to be dictated by a sense of moderation. Moderation means that we do not take more than we need, but just the right amount.


  • Be positive at all times and live one day at a time.
  • Don't feel that your acts of kindness aren't making a difference. Helping an elderly woman carry her shopping to her home will bring happiness to the world just the same as someone helping to build shelters for those in need. The simple fact that you're trying to make the world a better place by helping others is a fulfilling act, and there will always be people there to thank, support and appreciate your efforts.
  • When it comes to other people, treat everyone with respect until they have demonstrated they no longer deserve it. Be the type of person you'd want to be with or be proud to have as a friend.
  • Realize that you are not going to achieve all you set out to do. Remember, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans". Go with the flow.
  • If you don't know how to begin, start out small. Plant some flowers around your local neighbourhood to brighten the place up, maybe even plant a tree to help nature flourish. You could also help to clean up your area by cleaning up any litter. No-one is expected to go to a third world country and begin to help those in need by erecting shelters, a better way to begin is to donate some money to a charity that can do it instead, as you'll know you've put a hand in the construction without overhauling your life.
  • Take a step back and review your life, could you have done stuff better? Well don't worry if it is the case as it's true for almost everyone, realising that you could've done better is a step towards being a better person in itself. People are famous for learning from their mistakes (And not) and the simple reflection that you feel you can do better is a good thing! Instead of feeling negative about these things, take action!
  • Sometimes, we focus so much on the problem: thinking in this way is very labour-intensive and traps us in bondage. So, have a broad intellect, try to see the whole picture, and you can pass over the mountains of problems easily.
  • In times of lack of confidence, think to yourself the worst-case scenario. Then think of the chances that will happen. Chances are it's slim to none, so don't worry. And even if does, how bad would it be and how hard would it be to recover.
  • We all become stressed at moments in our lives and we sometimes do not know what to do or how to deal with these feelings. From the moment we wake up to the moment we fall asleep we must focus on the things that will make not only us but the people around us happy. When others are happy, it tends to create a happier community. Wake up to a happy song. Compliment someone. Go through your day smiling. Listen to people. Take comfort in all your accomplishments .
  • Make the most of your assets, there's nothing better than knowing you're good at something and working them to your advantage. Flaunt the things you are good at and use them to help and benefit other people, for example, if you are a good listener, be a support system for a friend in need, if you are bubbly and full of life, help cheer someone up, if you are very honest and open, help solve an argument or tell someone you feel they ought to know.


  • There's no such thing as getting carried away when helping people (Unless people don't like you intruding in their lives) but take it easy. Don't feel like you have to completely change to become a better person. It's nice to be appreciated by others, but the most important thing is to appreciate yourself. This can be achieved by doing small things whenever possible. The simple fact you're trying is the key to the door that opens to a better you!
