How to Be Quiet on Christmas Morning

    Try to go back to sleep. You may not be able to but you'll be grateful if you can. It will be a lot easier if you wake up as a family then by yourself. .

    Play video games. If you have systems like PSP, Nintendo DSI, PS3, etc., turn off the volume and enjoy yourself.

    Read a book. Try reading a thriller or an action book if you'd like to try to get awake, and a non-fiction or a fairy tale if you want to relax.

    Eat breakfast. If you can quietly tiptoe to the kitchen, grab some food and take it to your room.

    Play on the computer. If you have a laptop or a desktop computer in your room use it. If you have a family computer and can access it without making any noise, use it. Or, you can plug in headphones and listen from there on out. If you don't have headphones, have your volume very low so you can still listen to the sound.

  • Keep a clock in your room, to know when to wake your parents up.

  • Don't think about Christmas. It will only expand your urge to go and peek at the presents.

Warnings

  • Don't take food with you to your room unless you get an OK from your parents.
  • Turn the volume off. Mute any item with a sound button.(or use headphones)
  • Do NOT under any circumstances wake up your parents before the set time. If your parents haven't given you a time to wake them up, ask.
  • Do NOT peek at your presents. This could result in getting in big trouble.
  • Check with your parents to make sure it's OK to use electronics.
