Many people say that your freshman year could be the worst because you will not be a popular as you will be, but this is totally false. Through this article, you will be able to learn how to exert yourself, be powerful, and hopefully, learn how to be respected by your peers and other schoolmates.

    Don't be frightened by bad elements. Sometimes, in this world, you will face challenges, but always remember to exert yourself especially since those bullies are not your legal guardians, and they can't tell you what to do.

    Always help others. Whether it's the President of the Chess Club or the janitor, it always helps to assist others who are in need even if they don't ask for it. Don' t forget to smile!

    Build up on your skills. It always helps to be good at something, may it be at debating or at sports, people who excel at something will not go unnoticed, especially in a world where competition is a way of life.

    Defend your group/class. When you are asked to justify a certain act or deed which is not favorable in other people's eyes, don't be afraid to do so. Not only will it score you points with your peers, but it will also let people see that you are a loyal man and you are ready to assist others who are being harassed and threatened.     Be ready for challenges. Oftentimes, jealousy gets in the way of building better friendships, much like international relations. Do not hesitate to challenge others if you know that you are right.
