How to Be a Class Act
"The teacher doesn't like me", you say. Actually, you may be right. Teachers are humans just like you. They tend to judge students by the way they act. When you treat your teachers with respect, they will treat you with respect. If you do your work to the best of your ability and take school seriously, your teachers will respond. Get with the program by taking an active and passive role in the classroom.
Steps
- 1Be prepared. Bring your books, notebooks, homework, pencils, pens and erasers.
- 2Sit in the front of the room. This reduces distractions and shows the teachers that you are serious about learning.
- 3Pay close attention in classes.
- 4Take good notes.
- 5Raise your hand when you know the answer.
- 6Ask intelligent questions when you're confused.
- 7Resist peer pressure to misbehave.
- 8Treat your teachers with courtesy.
- 9Come to every class. Do not bunk any class. It is a bad habit and this shows that you are not interested.
