How to Bake Cinnamon Niblets

Did you ever want to bake simple cinnamon rolls but you don't know how to? With this recipe, you can make simple cinnamon rolls. Additionally you can form them into small "niblets" as snacks.

Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 1/4 cup butter (soft)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup bread flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

For the Topping

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • Butter

Steps

    Combine the butter and sugar in a large bowl with a heavy wooden spoon or mixer. when smooth, add the flour, vanilla, and milk. Mix until it comes together in a ball. Once you can easily knead it, you're ready for the next step.

    Knead the dough into a round ball. Roll it out on a flat surface.

    Mix together the sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.

    Rub some butter on the flattened dough. Sprinkle on the cinnamon/sugar.

    Roll the dough. Once finished, cut it into pieces as big as you like. Leave it for 10 mins before you start baking.
    • You can choose to cut them bigger or smaller depending on how many niblets you want. Serving size and number will vary depending on your choice!

    Bake it at 400 °F (204 °C) for 20-25 mins.

Tips

  • Add crushed walnuts, if you like, when you sprinkle on the sugar and cinnamon.
