How to Assume the Supported Bridge Pose in Yoga

The Supported Bridge Pose is a variation of the Bridge Pose, or Setu Bandhasana, in which your hands help to support your hips.

Part 1
Getting in the Starting Position

Performing the Pose

    Lift your hips so that you are able to have as much height as possible. Unclasp your hands.

    Lean to the right so that you are on your right tip toes, and bend your right arm at the elbow so that you can place your right palm on the sacrum. Repeat on the left side.

    Lower your feet to the floor again. Bring your elbows towards each other. Press your thumbs along the spine and spread your fingers wide.
