Do you want to have a sleepover but don't know how to ask? You shouldn't be a kiss up to your parents and then blow them off. Here are some steps to ask politely, not butt kissing.

Part 1
Planning

    Get a friend to help plan with you ahead of time. 'Only get one friend. This one friend can get you information you don't know, plan food, drinks, and even pick out some dates. This one friend should have characteristics such as:
    • Trustworthiness
    • Not too busy
    • Be invited to your sleepover
    • Creative, thinks outside the box
    • Knows most of the people coming

    Pick the best dates where you are not busy, your friends are not busy, and that is at least 3 weeks away. Don't make it more than a month away. It's going to feel so long until the day finally comes.

    By yourself, recommend food, drinks, and games on a piece of paper. If you write this down, your parents will think you've been thinking about this for a while and would love to hear what you have to say

    Do well. Keep your grades up, study hard, and try your best. Ask for help. Do what your parents tell you to. Do stuff with them. Do favors for them whenever they ask. And do it with a smile on your face.

The Big Moment

    Ask. Go ahead. You've done what you need to do. You did well. But-only ask when you are confident and the time feels right. You should ask when you and your mom and or dad are alone, so your siblings don't start a ruckus. Ask when your parents are in a good mood. There are two good times of day to ask:
    • In the morning. Ask when you want that day to plan, and all the days after.
    • At evening/night. It's the better choice because if your parents say no, they can sleep on it and tell you in the morning
