How to Add Music to a Sidekick LX

This tutorial will teach you how to transfer music to your Sidekick LX, its very simple.

Steps

    Connect your Sidekick LX. Plug in the USB cable from your phone to your computer.

    Select the Sidekick LX Memory Card. Wait for Autoplay to open which says 'Memory Card' then click 'View Files'.

    Copy all your music to the Music folder. On the View Files window you should see a folder called Music, drag and drop all the music you want into this folder.

    Do the same even if you're not using a Memory Card. If you would like to transfer your music to your phone memory instead of a memory card, do the same, the Autoplay window will just be called 'Phone Memory' instead.

    All you music should now appear on the Music folder. Look inside the folder to see if all the music you want is copied to the Sidekick LX.

    Unplug your Sidekick LX. Go to Library, then go to Music, and all your music should be on your Sidekick LX!

Tips

  • The name of the Memory Card may vary. For most users its '128MB Memory Card'.
  • The name of phone memory should be 'Sidekick', 'Phone' or 'Phone Memory'.
  • Be sure to copy and paste. Do not create a shortcut because it won't read it.
