How to Add a Picture to a Folder on Mac
It is much easier to organize files and folders if they have distinct icons. Instead of seeing the same old Mac icons, you can replace it with any of your preferred images. This way, it will be easier for you to locate certain folders if you have a cluttered desktop. Plus, it is a bit stylish too.
Steps
- 1Click any folder of your choice.
- 2Bring up the info page. You can press "Cmd + I" on the keyboard, or press down the option key while you click the folder and then select "Get Info."
- 3Open any the image you want to use as an icon. Do this using Preview.
- 4Select the image and copy it. Press "Cmd + A" to select the image and "Cmd+C" to copy it.
- 5Replace the folder icon. Click on the folder image at the top left corner of the window and then press "Cmd + V" on the keyboard to paste the image.
Tips
- You may want to use a transparent-backgrounded icon for a good look.
