How to Act Like a Monkey

If you're wanting to act like a monkey for a play, to impress your friends or to simply joke around, follow the steps bellow. Acting isn't all about the way you look though, it's also the way you sound, eat and walk. This wikiHow article will teach you the basics.

    Watch a documentary on different monkeys. A documentary will teach you how a monkey looks like, it's behaviour, what it eats and how it sounds. Another thing you want to do is choose which monkey you want to be. There are various monkeys out there that you can choose from. If you are a beginner, choose the commonest monkey which is the Chimpanzee. Chimpanzee's are also a lot like humans, so you shouldn't struggle too much on trying to act alike.

    Find a costume or dress like a monkey. Look around in some costume stores and see if you can find a monkey costume or something similar. Monkeys have long tails, round ears and are dressed in brown. If you're good at it, you can even make your own monkey costume.

    Crouch down on all fours. To act like a monkey you must look like one. Crouch down on all fours such as a frog-like pose and lay your knuckles on the ground. You should only walk on your knuckles as this is what monkeys do. The knuckles will support your weight as you crouch down.
